It's Time For a Change

 This very special blog is from Mel, who explains why we're moving offices this month...

After more than 9 very happy years in Stratfield Saye and 9 years before that in Burghfield Common, it’s time for Melanie Curtis Accountants to move to fresh, new offices.

Our Stratfield Saye office has been amazing, clients have especially loved our cute little building in the middle of the countryside. Very bizarrely, we have even had a steady stream of new clients who have spotted our office when they have cycled past our office at the weekends! The cuteness has given us a few challenges over the years though such as power cuts, running out of oil in the oil tank , and even chickens wandering in to the office!!!

Having returned to the office a few months ago after Covid, this cute little place now seems a bit behind the times and not really in line with the MCA vibe anymore. I decided that it’s time for a change and to turn a fresh page in the MCA story!

Our new home is just a few miles down the road at the Arena building in Winnersh Triangle. For the team it’s going to be fantastic, as we will be sitting in one area, rather than being split across 2 floors and various randomly shaped rooms, this will be great for team spirit and communication! 

The office is brand new, and we have had it custom designed to give us a team room and a meeting room. This will allow us to have a separate space to host those vital face-to-face meetings with clients when it is so important to have a safe space for a chat.

Excitingly too, the building gives us the flexibility to use various little break out areas for more casual chats with clients and anyone that pops by, as well as full-time reception cover too. 

Another major attraction with the new office is that we will now be able to re-start our business events and business groups! This will be fantastic for our clients, as we are going to run regular sessions to improve their businesses, with content from us here at MCA, as well as external specialists in other areas. I am really excited to get this up and running again to provide massive value to clients! Watch this space for upcoming dates!

Our new office is also really well connected; clients won’t get lost trying to find out office anymore .. it’s just off the A329M and has loads of free parking!

I’m really excited about the new office move and the team are super excited too! We are all looking forward to seeing you in our new home for a coffee!
